Ann Louise Hawryluk-Walchuk
1967 – 2018
It is with the heaviest sorrow filled hearts, that we the loving family of Ann, announce her
passing on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at her home in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. She was a
loving and encouraging mother to her twin boys Colby and Cole who she will miss eternally.
She was dedicated to Dave Mullen, her wonderful partner who exemplified love, kindness and
patience in Ann and the boys lives, and in her time of great need. Ann not only thought of Dave
as her bear but also her rock. She was a wonderful kind and considerate daughter to Dan and
Colleen, her parents and a thankful daughter in law to Jacqueline, who she also loved and
adored.
She was the beautiful baby sister to Jenny, Mikey and Mary. Her siblings have only
started to feel her physical absence, but resolve to cherish and honor her memory by fulfilling
her final wishes,” take care of her boys and Dave”.
Ann was a supportive and fun loving aunty to her nieces and nephews; Danielle, Michael Glenn, Michael, Lyndsey, and Tabatha and great nephews, Timothy and Mason and soon to be baby “J”, all of them have meant the world to her and she was very proud to be their aunty. Ann is predeceased by her grandparents John and Olive Dauphinee, and Olga and George “Cuss” Thompson. There are many aunts and uncles that Ann leaves behind.
Ann was born on September 23, 1967 in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia and made her home in Fort
Saskatchewan, Alberta. She had a passion for her hometown, Dominion, Nova Scotia.
Particularly, Dominion Beach and the big reef, where she would spend endless summers
enjoying the crashing waves of the mighty blue Atlantic ocean and tranquil sunsets.
She longed to return one day with her family. In her younger years, Ann was an avid sportsman who loved to play and compete in baseball and basketball and always made a point of watching the Olympics and many other sports competitions. Ann has so many amazing friends. She was the type of person who made friends with everyone, never harboring any judgments and exuding unconditional love to all.
Ann and Dave wish to extend a very special thank you to all those who helped in her medical
care: Cross Cancer, Dr. Jeanelle Sabourin, Dr. Trent Dusang. her in home medical care; her
amazing RN aunty Marilee, her dedicated RN friend Ruth, her very good friends Jane, Andy,
Mona and Sylvia, and all the wonderful people at Fort Saskatchewan Home Care. The generosity of endless friends in the Fort and Cape Breton.
Ann will be laid to rest at Fort Saskatchewan Cemetery and her service will be held at Our Lady
Of The Angels Catholic Church located at 10004 101 Street Fort Saskatchewan at 10:30 AM
