It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Ann Cecile (Campbell) D’Andrea, 78, on January 26, 2018, wife of the late Peter D’Andrea.
Born on November 7, 1939 to the late Hector and Frances (Boutilier) Campbell.
Ann graduated from Holy Angels in 1957 and from St. Elizabeth Hospital, School of Nursing in 1960. Ann worked in Nursing Administration in the Sydney area hospitals until her retirement in 2004.
Ann is survived by three sons, Todd (Jane), Douglass, ON, Craig (Susan), Oromocto, NB and Troy (Marion), Sydney; six grandchildren, Cory (Kayla), Christian, Christine (RJ), Amy, Andrew and Timmy; two great grandchildren, Isabella and Asher. Also surviving to mourn her are two brothers-in-law, Gordon, Sydney and Adrian (Mary), Hamilton, ON.
Predeceased by her parents; husband, Peter (2008), and her sister, Helen Mae Campbell, in infancy, and brother-in-law, Duncan.
There will be no visitation at Ann’s request. A Funeral Mass to celebrate her life will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Theresa’s Church; Fr Everett McDow officiating. Interment will follow in Resurrection cemetery.
Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ann’s memory to the SPCA.
A special thank you to Dr. Carol Critchley, Dr. Aboud, the nurses and staff of 3B, and the Palliative Care Unit of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
