Angie Mabel Flowers of Carlingford passed away at Hotel Dieu of St.
Joseph in Perth-Andover on June 12, 2018. She was 101 years old.
Born in Beaconsfield on April 26, 1917, Angie was the third of seven
children born to Spurgeon and Alice Tomlinson (née Johnson).
She married Merle Flowers on Oct. 22, 1941 and they spent nearly 57
years together until his death in 1998. Many local residents will
remember Angie as their schoolteacher, a career that spanned five
decades (1937-1944; 1954-1977) and culminated at the Perth Regional
High School.
Angie is survived by a sister Violet and her husband Manuel Elias of
Hesperia, California and a sister-in-law Jacqueline Tomlinson
(née Webb) of Fort Fairfield, Maine recently bereaved of her
husband Roy, Angie’s younger brother. Also surviving her are her
son Ronald and wife Karen (née Christoffel) of Mineral,
Virginia, and her daughter, Cheryl and husband Keith Falcao of
Elkridge, Maryland; four grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jonathan, Melissa
Nicole and Matthew, and two great-granddaughters, Avery and Emerson.
Special thanks are expressed to those caregivers who helped Angie
remain in her home of nearly 70 years.
A funeral service for Angie will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 15 at
the Brunswick Funeral Home in Perth-Andover. A private gathering for
relatives will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Following the
funeral service, her interment will be at the Larlee Creek Cemetery.
Arrangements will have been entrusted to Brunswick Funeral Home,
Perth-Andover.
