GENTILE, Angelo
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Angelo surrounded by his family on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the age of 86. Beloved Husband of the late Carmela (2001). Loving Papà to Luisa (Luigi) Greco and Frank (Tina). Cherished Nonno to Angelo and Robert Greco, Ennia, Adrian and Dean. Loving brother to the late Antonietta (the late Francesco), Rosa (the late Rocco) and Maria (the late Pietro) of Italy and Claudio of St. Catharines. He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Angelo and his family immigrated to Canada in 1967. He enjoyed a good game of cards with his friends, gardening, going hunting, bike riding and a good meal with his family. Angelo was employed at Port Weller Dry Docks and was a member of St. Alfred Church and Guardia Lombardi Social Club. The family would like to thank the St. Catharines General Hospital especially the CCU Doctors and Nurses for all their care and compassion.
Visitation will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 from 2-4p.m. and 5-9p.m. with Vigil Prayers being held at 3p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Alfred Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine St., St. Catharines on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 11a.m. Rite of Committal will follow Mass at Victoria Lawn Cemetery, Queenston St., St. Catharines. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
