Peacefully passed surrounded by family on November 29, 2018, at the age of 88. Predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Joyce Collins. Loving and proud father and grandfather of Elizabeth Jane (BJ) (Ken Janzen) of Rosebud, Alberta; Kathleen, Toronto, Ontario; Joan (Paul Hubert), London, Ontario, children Alexandra (Adam Johnson) Nicholas and Zachary; Karen (KB Bose), Unionville, Ontario, children Matthew and Meagan Bianco; Meredith (Thomas Flower), Phoenix, Arizona; children Julia and Natalia; and Andrew (Lisa Graff), San Mateo, California, children Samuel and Audrey.
Andy was born at home in Castleton, Ontario to Adra Anna Knapp and Andrew Alexander Kemp. He was the youngest of three boys and was predeceased by his brothers Donald (Jean, Burlington) and Douglas (Billie, Bowmanville). When he was 17, he attended the University of Toronto studying Institutional Management. Upon graduation he found a job in Financial Services and enjoyed a long and interesting career. He was a man of deep faith and enjoyed giving of his time, serving on many boards. He travelled extensively for work and pleasure. Andy’s life exuded joy and kindness. His love of people was surpassed only by his love of Swiss Chalet and strawberry ice cream.
