It is with profound sadness that the family of Amy Mae (Rumble) Zoumboulis announce her passing on Wednesday July 4, 2018 at the Chatham Kent Hospice with her family and friends by her side.
Amy was born on May 1, 1973 to Tony and Gail Rumble of Blenheim. She is survived by her pride and joy Costandinos (Costa) Nikos Zoumboulis of Blenheim. Her partner, Steven Blakeney and his children Meredith, Rhys and Evan, brother Ian, Rhonda, Klare, Drew and Grace Rumble of Blenheim and sister Emily Rumble of Toronto.
Predeceased by her grandparents Edith and Leighton Rumble and Elmer and Cecile Myers. She will be greatly missed by a large number of aunts, uncles and cousins both from the Rumble and Myers families and a huge network of friends.
Amy played many roles: daughter, sister, companion, cousin, co- worker, and friend but her most cherished role was that of a mother.
Amy was a strong, independent, caring, hard worker and she spent the last 10 years working as the Supervisor of Housekeeping and Linen at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance where she was adored and admired by all the staff. She had a big heart and supported every request from every department with kindness and compassion.
She loved Friday Night Table, fancy beads, Nickelback, a strong hug, a kiss on the lips, late nights, whiskey, loud music, arriving late to the party and was never one to miss out on anything. She truly was a one of a kind gem.
Amy is perhaps best remembered for her huge, bright smile and her infectious laugh that could brighten any room. She was full of life, spirit and positivity right until the very end.
Family and friends are invited to the visitation at the Blenheim Community Funeral Home on Saturday July 7, 2018 at 2:00 pm and will continue throughout the afternoon and evening.
We invite all of you that have been touched by Amy to join us in the celebration of her life on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Hall in Blenheim where friends will share their fondest memories of Amy.
