Alphonse Arthur Beranger
October 01, 1964 – December 18, 2018

Alphonse Arthur Beranger, Age 54 of Eastern Passage passed away on Tuesday December 18, 2018
An avid sports fan, Alphonse loved his Chicago Blackhawks and was fiercely loyal, win or lose; his “man cave” was full of the team spirit. Besides his wife (whom he told was beautiful every day) he had a passion for progressive music and was a self-taught guitar player. Alphonse was Al to his wife and friends but to his siblings he was Phonse, his name from childhood. He liked to spend time with Tania, his mother-in-law Rhonda and his own mum playing cards, something they all enjoyed no matter who won.
Alphonse wasn’t always a patient man, but he would give you the shirt off his back and could chat with anyone, sometimes sharing too many details much to the chagrin of his wife. The last few years Alphonse discovered empathy for others as he fought his own battles and in this one last time, he lost the battle and now makes his way to a place where there is no pain, all his favorite music and his pussycats Baby and Bilbo whom he missed dearly.
Alphonse leaves his much-loved wife Tania (Martin) and was predeceased by his father Arthur Beranger. He is survived by his mother Madeline Cook, brother Greg McCann-Beranger (Judy), sisters Carol Beaver (Ren), Beverly Carmichael (Al) and Ursula Beranger-Campbell.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Donations can be made to the Cancer Society or the SPCA, both worthy causes in Al’s eyes.
