Alma’s life was a testament of faith, family and farming. You
could generally find Alma in the field, in the kitchen or knitting a
mitten or sock for a loved one. Even after a hard day’s work she
would always have a meal or a cup of tea ready for any that would drop
in for a visit. Many have enjoyed her homemade brown bread, baked
beans, crumb cake, pickles, and preserves. As a family, we will
always cherish the wonderful memories made sitting around the table
for Christmas dinner. Through hard work, along with her husband, they
purchased and worked a farm, in Maplehurst. They were potato and
grain farmers until their retirement in 1988.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207
