MORTON, Allan Edgar
Allan was born in Lower Argyle, Nova Scotia on September 26, 1925 and died peacefully in Kingston, Ontario on September 3, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Freda (Welch). Loving father of Janet Maynard (the late Vern), Barry and his wife Patricia and Richard and his wife Susan.
Devoted “Grampie” to Katie (Kim) Hulton, Todd (Nikki) Morton, Erin (Scott) Kehoe, Jessie (Tyson) Boehme, Scott Welch (deceased), Curtis (Katherine) Maynard, Kristy (Casey) Nelson, Valerie (Boyd) Stankey, Amy (Marc) Duguay and Stephen (Megan) Morton. Much loved Great-Grampie to fourteen. Allan’s grandchildren and great-grandchildren were his greatest joy.
Allan was predeceased by siblings Ray Morton (Helen), Evelyn Mackenzie (Claire) and Hester Greene (Brad) and is survived by Isobel Frost (the late Roy), Hazel (Tink) Crosby (the late George), Helen (Beth) Goodwin (the late Lawrence (Bud), Joyce Lennox (the late Elmer) and Wilbur (Sonny) Morton (the late Florence).
Allan served in the Canadian Army from 1943-1946 and the RCAF from 1949-1966. Family was of great importance to Allan and he was always caring and supportive of his immediate and extended family in Ontario and Nova Scotia. He was loved and respected by all.
Cremation has taken place and burial will be at a later date on Briar Island, Nova Scotia.
