Allan passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 21, 2018
surrounded by
family, after a long struggle with brain cancer.
Loving husband and best friend to Dorothy (Latreille). Cherished
father of Debbie (Patrick
O’Brien), Darin (Magali) and Tim (Lori MacPherson).
Proud papa to grandchildren Mackenzie and Keegan O’Brien, Emily
Taylor, Allen Taylor, Kayla
Sims and Danielle Atkins-Byard, greatpapa to James and Elijah.
Survived by loving brother Bruce (Beryl), special cousin Bert (Judy),
sisters-in-law Lynn Latreille
and Marlene Taylor. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews,
relatives and wonderful
friends.
Predeceased by his parents Marie (Burrill) and James Taylor, brothers
Leslie, Keith and
Freddie.
Allan was a dedicated teacher and mentor for 33 years. He was an
active member of the
Sudbury Kiwanis Club, an avid reader, skilled carpenter and optimistic
Toronto Blue Jay fan.
A kinder, more gentle man there never was. You will live in our hearts
forever.
Visitation will be held at Wesley United Church, 6 Cambridge Street,
Cambridge, on Monday,
December 17, 2018 at noon to 1:45 pm. Service at the church to follow
at 2 pm.
Dorothy and family would like to thank Nurse Practitioner Krysta
Cameron and the Paramed
Palliative Care Nurses, for walking with them through this difficult
journey.
Donations to Wesley United Church or the Cambridge Self Help Food Bank
would be
appreciated.
