Obituary Overview
Alfred Nagy
Alfred Abraham Nagy was born on Thursday, December 1, 1983 in Prince Albert, SK, and passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018, in Wakaw, SK, at the age of 34 years. Al is survived by his loving wife, Danielle Blain; his 19 month old son, Eric, with another child expected in February 2019; his parents, Frank and Venes; his brothers, Frank (Melinda), Clinton (Katie) and Ron (Amanda); his in-laws, Paul & Suzanne Blain, Renee (Josh) and Natalie (Ethan.) He also enjoyed a large extended family and many friends in whose company he found much pleasure.
Al loved to fish and hunt and many can attest to success or lack of success in these pursuits. At times it appeared he was more successful at getting game with his truck then with his rifle. In fishing he found his place of peace and calm, winter or summer. If you were a stranger but liked fishing, you were a friend. He was also very proud of his farming background and that life flowed deeply in his veins. Never happier then when he was riding a piece of equipment and moving dirt. The last 5 years Al was working underground as a heavy duty mechanic with Nutrien, Allan Division which created an opportunity to increase his pool of friends even more. A straight talking man who frequently tried to present a tough exterior, however a little below the surface was found a kind, gentle, generous person who gave of his time willingly when others needed a hand.
His truest passions and loves were Danielle and Eric and the excitement at the prospect of having a new addition to the family. He worked tirelessly to create a home for this little family and shared with them a dream where he was able to spend much more time with them all. The goal was always to surround them with comfort and love and he succeeded in doing this. Danielle will find happiness in the memories of their time together, Eric and their newcomer will learn of the father who cared and loved so strongly.
Al will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at Plaza 88, Pastor Nora Vedress officiating. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Funeral Home, (306) 764-2727, Don Moriarty, Funeral Director.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Alfred Nagy 2018..
