Obituary of Alex McLean
In loving memory of Alex McLean who passed away peacefully on December 29, 2018, at the age of 80, with his beloved wife of 54 years, by his side.
Sadly missed by his wife Eve (nee Hearn), his children Randy (Vera), Deborah (Al Burton), Vincent (Eda) and Roseanna (Kevin) Twiner. His prides and joy were his grandchildren Brandi (Colin Amer), Alexander, Emmanuel, Grace and Cody. Also left to mourn is his sister Sadie (John) Rogers and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Thomas (1993) and Leslie (2013). He will be sorely missed by his lifelong friends and board game partners Amy and Robert.
Alex was employed as truck driver for 46 years, loved driving and was always looking for new sights and roads to explore. He was avidly involved in the community with volunteering at the Cobalt Classic Theatre and many other community events. He was a member of the Hudson and Hilliardton Seniors, the Cattlemen’s Association, he supported many community groups and he was well respected in the community.
Per his wishes, his body has been bequeathed to the Anatomy Department at the University of Western Ontario in London. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Cobalt Classic Theatre.
