Alexander ”Alex”’s Obituary
BEALS, Alexander Carl “Alex”~ age 25, of Halifax, formerly of Lawrencetown, Annapolis Co., passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at home. Born in Kentville, Alex was a son of William and Donna (Lamarche) Beals, Lawrencetown. He was a graduate of Bridgetown Regional High School and was living and working in Halifax as a cook at The Maxwell’s Plum Restaurant. Alex was a self-taught guitarist and loved playing music, hanging out with his friends and enjoying jam sessions. He will be deeply missed by his parents, William and Donna; his sister, Abby Beals, Wolfville; his brother, Josh (Sydney Wrecks) Beals, Dartmouth; his maternal grandparents, Christopher and Marguerite Minkoff, Wilmot; aunts and uncles, Sharon (Gary) McMullen; Nancy (Bob) Gesner; Madelyn (Sandy) McLain; Karen (Rod) Fraser; cousins, Christopher McMullen, Craig Gesner, Trina Gesner-Roberts, James McLain, Shawn McLain, Megan Fraser-Durland and Marcy Fraser. Alex was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Carl and Rosamond Beals. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, December 23, 2018 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St., 902-825-3448 with Rev. Patty Beals officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the service. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery at a later date. Donations in Alex’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
