HILLS, Gordon “Aldin”
Peacefully entered into rest on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the West Haldimand Hospital, Hagersville, in his 77th year. Beloved husband to Evalyn (Soley) for 54 years. Loving father of Sharon VanSickle (Mike) and Jim (Heather). Dear grandfather of Sarah VanSickle, Caitlyn and Cassie Hills. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Betty (Rogers) Hills and his brother Albert. Also survived by brothers Douglas (Sheila), Wayne (Mary) and Harry, he will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and extended family. Aldin was one of the founding elders of the Caledonia Congregational Church and a proud member of UA Local 67, Canadian Piping Trades since 1966. A special thanks to Dr. Phillips and the staff at West Haldimand General Hospital. Visitation will take place in the Miller Funeral Chapel, Caledonia on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. followed by the service in the chapel on Saturday, November 3 at 1 p.m. Interment in Caledonia Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Caledonia Congregational Church: 97 Argyle St. N. Caledonia, ON N3W 1B8 would be appreciated by the family.
