Albina Cam Lim
October 17, 1926 – September 23, 2018
Albina Cam Lim was the loving matriarch for a large extended family, instilling in her 9 children the importance of higher education and the value of family. Renowned for her culinary skills, her dining room was a gathering place, bringing together relatives scattered around the world. Beyond ushering her children and grandchildren successfully to adulthood, her continued bond with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren even in her advanced age remains as just one example of her enduring legacy. We are grateful for her unconditional love for her family.
Albina passed away peacefully at home in Vancouver, B.C. on September 23, 2018. She was predeceased by her husband, Aurelio. She is survived by her loving children: Patricia, Angela, Andres, Adelina, Remedios, Venetia, Edmundo, Eileen, Gregorio and their families, 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and extended family.
Viewing is on Friday, October 12, 2018 between 6 to 8 pm at Ocean View Funeral Home (4000 Imperial St., Burnaby).
The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (8891 Montcalm Street, Vancouver) at 11 am, Saturday, October 13. Interment will take place at Ocean View Funeral Home at 2:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Albina’s name may be made to the St. Anthony of Padua Parish Centre Fund, 8891 Montcalm Street, Vancouver, BC, V6P 4R4 or a charity of your choice.
