Mary Elizabeth Jackson 1936 2018

JACKSON, Mary Elizabeth
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our precious Mother and Nana, Mary (nee McLean) Jackson on Sunday, December 23, 2018, in her 83rd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Gerald and son Michael. Mary leaves behind her loving daughter Catherine Closs of Kingston, ON. Nana will be greatly missed by granddaughters Lindsay Lambert (spouse Robert) and Lauree Closs (spouse Julie). Nana is also survived by two great grandchildren whom she absolutely adored, Olivia and Liam Lambert. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Laura McLean of Portland, ON. The eldest of her siblings, she was a loving sister to Frank McLean (Pat), Jack (late Betty), the late Douglas McLean and Molly Buck (Donald). Mary will also be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Words cannot express the emptiness that is felt by us as she was the pillar of our family and loved well beyond measure. Please join us at JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, for visitation on Friday, December 28th from 2 – 4 pm and 7 -9 pm. Funeral service to be held in the Chapel on Saturday, December 29th at 1:00pm with reception to follow. Private interment will occur at Cataraqui Cemetery. Because Mary was a devoted member of the Cataraqui United Church, the family asks that any donations be made to that church in her memory.
“I love you like the day is long”
