Obituary Overview
Gordon English
Gordon Wayne English, known to his friends as “Bulldog”, passed away peacefully on Dec 12, 2018 at the age of 75, surrounded by his loving family.
Gord is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lorraine; daughters, Adrienne (Scott), Erinn (Warren); and his much loved grandchildren Greyson, Evan, Brennen, Alex and Peyton. He was predeceased by his parents, Bill and Sarah, and his sister, Linda.
Born August 22, 1943 in Fillmore, Saskatchewan, Gord graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Engineering, then moved to Edmonton to pursue his Masters of Engineering at the University of Alberta. Upon graduation, Gord and his family settled in St. Albert and he began a very long and fulfilling career as a partner in Colt Engineering.
Gord lived his life to the fullest; he enjoyed golfing, skiing, fastball, hockey, travelling and spending time with his many family members and friends both here and in his winter home of Goodyear, AZ. But the thing that gave him the greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his five grandchildren.
A Celebration of Gord’s life will be held on Sunday January 13th, 2019 from 2-6pm at the Delta Edmonton South, 4404 Gateway Blvd NW.
