Obituary of Ronald Dean, Glace Bay
Ronald “Ron” James Dean, age 87 passed away on Thursday, December 20th, 2018 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Isaac and Frances Louise (Parsons) Dean.
Ron lived in Glace Bay, New Waterford and Sydney. He enjoyed going for his daily walks and could often be seen collecting bottles and cans, a hobby he truly enjoyed. Ron was an avid auto racing fan; but mostly he will be remembered for his love of his children and grandchildren.
Ron is survived by two daughters, Bridget Marie and Sarah Ann Dean, two sons, Jerry Isaac Dean and James Bradley Dean, two sisters, Emmaline, Audrey and one brother, Irving.
Also surviving are Ron’s four grandchildren, Brier Isaac, Baylor Violet, Hayden Dean and Brandon Lyon.
Ron was predeceased by several siblings.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation has taken place under the direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, Glace Bay. Interment at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery, Glace Bay.
