Obituary of Madeline Hawboldt
It is with heavy hearts the family announce the passing of Madeline Doris Hawboldt, age 77, of Windsor, who died Friday, December 14 2018 in Dykeland Lodge, Windsor.
Born in Windsor, she was a daughter of the late Guy and Grace (Hartt) Hawboldt. She worked for Gordon and Barbara Hughes for 53 years.
Madeline is survived by her sisters, Melvina, Mary, Irene (Grant) Northup, Ida (Steven) Smardon, all of Windsor; Elizabeth (Donald) Spencer, Summerville; brothers, Avery, Windsor; Richard, Garlands Crossing; Grant (Donald Beals), Dartmouth; Leonard (Frances), Wentworth; Lloyd (Janet), Tongue Hill; special nephew, Bill (Rose), and his children, William and Kyle; stepsisters, Doreen (Ted) Eagles, Martock; Ellen, Thunder Bay; Dorothy, Bedford; Gloria, Ontario.
She was predeceased by stepmother, Blanche; sister, Ruth Thompson; stepsister, Joyce; brothers, Leroy, Gerald, Graydon, Leslie, Raymond, Myron and Cedric; stepbrothers, Carl and Don.
Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317), where the family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, December 19. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 20, in the DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Beth Johnston officiating. A reception will immediately follow in the funeral home’s Elmcroft Reception Centre. Interment will take place afterward in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor. Family flowers only by request, however, donations in memory of Madeline may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association NS Division, 101-137 Chain Lake Dr., Halifax, NS B3S 1B3 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NS, 5657 Spring Garden Rd., Box 245 Halifax, NS B3J 3R4.
