In Loving Memory
HANNAFORD, Wayne Stephen
Surrounded by family, Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice, at the age of 74. Beloved husband for nearly 50 years of Heather (nee Marshall). Proud and loving father to Cynthia Herman, Karen Taylor and Gordon Hannaford, sons in-law Martin Herman and Paul Taylor and daughter-in-law, Judy Hannaford. Doting grandfather to Angela Herman, Emily Herman (Jon Murray), Elizabeth Herman, Samantha Taylor (J P Lester) Sarah Taylor (Michel Courchesne), Laurie Hagan (Tony Mitchell) and Kayla Hannaford. Thrilled to be a great grandfather to Esme Murray, Patrick Wayne Murray and Darcy Mitchell. Survived by one sister Connie and husband George Pitman, sister-in-law Patsy Hannaford and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Warren and Grace (nee Clyne) Hannaford, brothers Weldon and Elliot and sisters Hope Villeneuve Riopelle and Cheryl Hannaford. In typical Wayne fashion, there will be no funeral service, only a Celebration of Life reception to share memories which will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3700 Prince of Wales Drive, 613-692-1211. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to Hospice Care Ottawa, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the Ottawa Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
