Obituary Overview
Ed Querry
As we celebrate the life of a man well-loved and a life well lived, we are sad to announce the passing of our beloved Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, Brother, Uncle and friend, Ed Querry. Ed was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Myra Querry in 2012, his loving parents Raymond and Clarisse and his sister Madeline. He leaves to mourn his passing, daughters Shelly (Ken) McKetsy and Denise (Darcy) Freistadt, grandchildren and great grandchildren, Travis McKetsy (Natalie), Shea (Steve) Meginbir, Xavier and Axel, Chris Freistadt (Trisha) and Marissa (Darryl) Brezinski. Ed was eagerly looking forward to the birth of Marissa & Darryl’s baby in 2019, but sadly this was not to be. Also left to mourn his passing are his brothers Bernard (Shirley) and Steve (Dianne) and their families, his special friend Sophie Machala with whom he shared the past 2 years in laughter and love, as well as many nieces & nephews.
Ed was a proud member of IUOE Local 870 for 40 years. He and Myra made many friends during his career, travelling & working on pipeline & industrial sites in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Their door was always open and the coffee pot was always on. Ed is remembered by friends and family as a kind and gentle man, who was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. Ed moved into Villa Royale in 2015 and he quickly made many friends in his new home. It was there that he met Sophie and they spent many happy hours going to dances, socializing and brightening each other’s lives.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Edward Joseph Pierre Querry 2018..
