Frederick D Parker 19332018

Frederick D. Parker
1933-2018
Surrounded by his loving family, the death of Frederick (Fred) Daniel
Parker of Stickney occurred on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at the Upper
River Valley Hospital, Waterville. Born March 26, 1933 in Kingsclear,
New Brunswick, he was son of the late Walter and Christine
Parker.
Fred was predeceased by his loving wife of 62 years, Maxine Parker,
his brother Wayne Parker, and sister-in-law, Phyllis (Murray).
Fred is survived by his four children: Frederick Kent Parker, Wendy
Chase, Michael Parker, and Christa Paquet (Fred); 4 grandchildren,
Nathan Chase (Michelle), Tiffany Chase, Frederic Paquet, and Samuel
Paquet; 4 great-grandchildren, Kadence, Keleigh, Kamden, and Claire;
siblings Murray Parker, Suzanne McCann (Lloyd), and Patrick Parker
(Marg).
Fred was a telecom lineman with NBTel (Bell Aliant) for more than 25
years, and a member of the Pioneers of New Brunswick. Fred and Maxine
were enthusiastic curlers in their younger days, and always enjoyed
camping with friends and family in Maine and New Brunswick. In his
later years, Fred was an avid gardener and enjoyed the special
friendships he made over the years at Tim Horton’s.
At Fred’s request there will be no visitation – a private graveside
service will be held by the family at a later date. Condolences can be
made online or in person at L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207
Burnham Road, Florenceville-Bristol, N.B.
Fred supported many wonderful charities over the years – donations in
his memory can be made to the Upper River Valley Cancer Support Group,
the New Brunswick Lung Association, or the IWK Foundation.
