Kenneth Del Delmer Thorpe April 25 1933 December 4 2018 (age 85)

Passed away peacefully at Georgian Bay General Hospital, Midland on Tuesday, December 4, 2018, in his 86th year. Del, beloved husband of the late Joyce (nee Campbell). Dear father of Rob, Donna (Paul), Steven and the late Richard (Loretta). Loving grandfather of Jacqueline (Ben), Emily (Graham), Christina and Lilah. Step grandfather of Grant and Shelley (Randall). Great-grandfather of Sloane and Harlow. Step great-grandfather of Ethan and Austin. Brother of Diane (Tom Talbot). Del graduated from the University of Toronto, Chemical Engineering in 1957 before joining Dow Chemical in Sarnia. He then continued his career with RCA, Midland until the plant closed. Del and Joyce purchased property on Highway 92 outside of Elmvale where they built and founded the Wasaga Beach KOA Campground now known as Wasaga Pines. A celebration of life will be held at the Brooklea Golf and County Club, 8567 Highway 93, Midland on Saturday, December 15th from 2-4 p.m. Memorial donations to the Georgian Bay General Hospital Foundation, Midland would be appreciated.
