Obituary of Ada Digney
Ada passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the age of 102 years. She was predeceased by her parents Edward Joseph and Bertha (Brann); husband Stewart; seven brothers; two sisters; one son-in-law, Steve Horvath; and one grandson-in-law, Jim Brown. Ada is survived by her son Russell; daughter Marlene; eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Ada was born on June 14, 1916 in Gillespie, SK and was raised in a large family. She completed grades one to nine in Abernethy, SK. In 1939 she married Stewart Digney (Charles Stewart) and they were blessed with two children, Russell and Marlene. Ada was a phone operator and a stay at home mom. She was a proud member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Canadian Legion, Semans Branch. Ada had many interests; crafting, painting, gardening and sewing, but her greatest love was that of her family and friends. She enjoyed shopping, eating out and spending time at the cottage at Katepwa Beach with those she loved. Her memory will be forever cherished and never forgotten. A private family graveside has been held. Flowers and donations gratefully declined.
