Dorothy Helen (Caldwell) Barter was born November 11,1930 to Burnham Caldwell and Elizabeth (Montgomery) Caldwell in New Richmond, Quebec. She went to hight School in Nova Scotia. She married Morell Alexander Barter in 1952 and they lived in Grand Cascapedia. She will be missed by her two daughters : Debbie Maxan (Douglas Maxan) and Cynthia Brennan (Michael Brennan), her grandchildren Michael (Monica) Maxan, Emily (Jeremy) Byers, Lauren Brennan and Julia Brennan, her great grandchildren Isaiah, Owen, and Eric, as well as her sister in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, her parents and her two brothers Edgar and Douglas Caldwell.
Dorothy loved to play the piano, work in her flowers garden, talk to her friends, spend time with her family, and adored her cats.
Visitations will be held at the Salon Funeral Henri Thibodeau, 221 Chemin Cyr, New Richmond Sunday November 25- 2018.
Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 with funeral service at United Church in New Richmond. At time 11 am. Interment will take place at a later date.
Please be advised that the day of the funeral, the Salon will open at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers Donations can be made in memory of Dorothy Caldwell to the Linda Lemore Brown Cancer Foundation or to the Fondation Baie-Des-Chaleurs.
