Ruth’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family Ruth Beatrice Marks announce her passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Monday, November 19, 2018 at the age of 88 years. She leaves to mourn, with fond and loving memories, her husband of 67 years, Angus J. Marks; Son: Angus Marks of Corner Brook; Granddaughters: S. Victoria (Sean) Morrow of Wellington, NS, Heidi Marks of Golden, BC; Jessica (Tony) Ivany of Winnipeg, Manitoba; Great-Children Darcy Morrow and Rory Morrow; Sister: Lillian (Ronald) Marshall of St. John’s, NL; also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and the Masonic Brotherhood Ladies Auxiliary (Corner Brook Lodge 11). Ruth is predeceased by her son, Wade John Harold Marks (June 1955) and her siblings: Vera Gullage of Channel Port Aux Basques, NL; Ada McCarthy of North Sydney, NS; Vernon Jeans of Channel Port Aux Basques, NL; Robert Jeans of Cape Ray, NL. At Ruth’s request, cremation has taken place. A visitation for family and friends will take place from Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place at St. Michael and All Angels Church on Park Drive, Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 2pm. with Rev. Roberta Woodman officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted, or memorial donations can be made to The Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
