Maxine McLeod passed away on November 9, 2018 at Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home.
She was born September 14, 1926 in Shoal Lake, Ontario
Maxine was predeceased by her mother Mary Lakvierre and father Gordon Penace, children Alfred, Frankie, Joe, Emily, Eveleen, Diane, brothers, Norman, Kenneth, David, Johnny, and nephews Norman, Clarence, Glen, Alfred, Kenny Jr., Ronnie and Gordie.
She is survived by her nieces Esther, Lorraine, Yvonne, Adele, Rhea, Rosie, Judy, Myrna, Phyllis, and nephew Oliver, grandchildren; Kelly, Nawageshegok, April Starr, Joanne, David, Dexter, Gordon, Patrick, Eugene, Candace, Ronnie, Reggie, Arthur, Jessica, Robbie, Gerald, Darrin, Tamara, Carrie, Washow, Chelsea, Rachal, Janelle, Jayelle, Lee, Bev, Isabel, Allan, Alana, Shaun, Shauna, Blair, Denise, Kendrick, Courtney, Nolan, Tara, Nicky, Brittney and Jessica, great grandchildren also, too many to mention.
Maxine loved playing cards, in her younger years enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing, pulp cutting and loved her Copenhagen!
Wake Service will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Community Centre in Shoal Lake # 39 First Nation, Ontario.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Community Centre in Shoal Lake #39 First Nation with interment to follow.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bowerman, Shoal Lake #39 Chief and Council, Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home and Lake of the Woods District Hospital.
