Nick Sideroff February 22 1924 November 6 2018

In Loving Memory Of
Nick Sideroff
Nick Sideroff, resident of Beaverlodge, formerly of Hines Creek and Spirit River, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at Beaverlodge Hospital at the age of 94 years.
Nick was born February 22, 1924 on a boat, emigrating from Russia via China. The family settled in the Homeglen district near Rimbey, AB. In 1929, the family moved to the Peace River area. Nick farmed in the Hines Creek area where he met the love of his life, Helen, who was teaching in a two room school house. Nick would go to visit her and make kindling so Helen could start the fire in the teacherage. They married in April 1947. Nick continued to farm until 1970, when he and Helen moved to Spirit River where he ran the National Grain Elevator. Then he worked at the Beaver Lumber store. Before retiring, he drove school bus. Nick and Helen moved to Beaverlodge in 2013 to be closer to family.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Helen; sons: Don (Bev), Barry (Myrna), and Jeffrey (Annis); 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents and siblings.
A Memorial Service will be held in Spring 2019.
Thank you to Dr. Van and the caring staff at Beaverlodge Hospital.
Memorial Donations may be made to Beaverlodge Hospital Foundation (Box 480, Beaverlodge, AB, T0H 0C0) or to AB Fish and Game Association (13045 156 St., Edmonton, AB, T5V 0A2, www.afga.org).
