Peacefully with her family at her side at the Guelph General Hospital on Wednesday November 7th, 2018. Elaine McGibbon (nee Porterfield) of Guelph, in her 72nd year was the dear sister of Una Porterfield of Brampton, Yvonne Newton (Ron) of Dundalk, June Rouw (Pete) of Erin and Joyce MacDougall of Guelph. Dear sister-in-law of Roy McGibbon of Guelph. Predeceased by her husband Frank McGibbon, brothers Allan Porterfield and Lyle Porterfield and brother-in-law Herb MacDougall. She will be sadly missed by 8 nieces and 3 nephews and extended family. She will especially be missed by her special friends Garry and Jackie Couture, Bill and Marjorie Patterson, Linda and Jerry Gallant and Keith Nelson as well as many other friends.
Friends are invited to MacIntyre Family Funeral Home, 5399 Wellington Road 52 (Main Street), Erin on Saturday November 10, 2018 from 10 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery at 2 p.m. Donations in Elaine’s memory can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
