Deirdre Ann “Dee” Meek
February 20, 1938 – October 27, 2018
Suddenly at Belleville General Hospital on Saturday October 27th, 2018. Dee Meek, of Picton, formerly of Pickering, at the age of 80. Beloved daughter of Edna and the late Jack Chestney of Surbiton, England and mom of Sue Fox and her husband Richard of St. Ola, ON, Paula Lamming and her husband Mark of Whistler, BC and Martyn Meek and his wife Peggy Speir of Squamish, BC. Proud nana of Sean, Erin (Sean), Meghan, Jack, Tara (Devin) and Amy (Jay) and great-nana of Lauren, Oliver, Charlie, Jack, Chester and Emmerson. Dee was past president of the tenant’s association at Harmony Home, an enthusiastic member of the walking club and she loved to share her baking with those she loved and with her many friends and neighbours. At Dee’s request there will be no public funeral or visitation. If desired, donations to the charities that were close to her heart, Almost Home or the Picton United Church Food Bank, would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Whattam Funeral Home, 33 Main Street, Picton.
