Magali Journe-Klass 2018

Obituary Overview
Obituary
On Thursday, October 11th, 2018, Magali passed away in her sleep after a valiant battle with cancer.
Mourning her loss are sons, Paul and Simon of Winnipeg, mother Claude Journé of France, sister-in-law Alison Fogel (née Klass), and many lifelong friends. Magali was predeceased by her father René Journé, brother Ramuntcho Journé, and former husband Warren Klass.
After receiving her teaching degree, she immigrated to England, and then to Canada where she began teaching in the public school system. Her career ended at 17 Wing Winnipeg Training Centre where she worked for over 25 years teaching French to Canadian military personnel. She always sought creative ways to inspire students, was a keen observer of world affairs and, herself, a passionate student of life. Her foremost priority, however, was raising her sons, her great source of pride of fulfillment.
In spite of the challenges of failing mobility for the last decade, Magali approached life with an open mind and determination to give back to her community. She was, in fact, a greater inspiration to us than she could ever know.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 21st, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. Donations in her memory can be made to Plan Canada.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Magali Journe-Klass 2018..
