Dr Robert Michael Drake

Born in London, England on April 19, 1937. Died peacefully at home on October 16, 2018 with his loving family at his side. Beloved husband and best friend of Susan Drake for 47 years. Loving father of Honey Alzner and special son-in-law Mark, Robert Tyson, Barbara Machina (Jake), the late Martin (1993), Tom (Minna), John (Laura) and Charles. Cherished Peepa of Paul O’Brien (Jessica), Brendan O’Brien, Miranda, Zoe, Adelaide, Alec, Tommy, Jared, Taden, Cameron, Jenna and great grandpa of Al and Ceasar. Dr. Drake started in the medical field as a family doctor which lead him to multiple positions in Emergency Medicine. In 1980, he and his family settled in Windsor-Es County where he continued his Emergency career and shortly after moved into Psychotherapy which he thoroughly enjoyed. In 1983, he began his most honourable service as a Coroner of Windsor-Es County. Dr. Drake was dedicated and devoted to providing decedents and their families the dignified service and respect they deserved. For this he was admired so dearly by all. It is with great pride, as of October 16, 2018 Dr. R.M. Drake has officially retired and he is now enjoying tending to the gardens in his next life. At Dr. Drake’s request a private family service and cremation has taken place.
Memorial visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave., 519-253-7234 on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dr. Drake’s name to the IRIS Residential Inns and Services.
