1930-2018
Frances Elizabeth Peters – age 88, of Berwick, passed away
peacefully, surrounded by family, at the Valley Regional Hospital on
Sunday, October 14, 2018. Fran was born in Little Bay West,
Newfoundland on September 2, 1930 to the late Charles and Pheobe
(Grandy) Skinner. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years E. L.
“Ted” in 2006. Fran spent 88 years in the service of
her family, church, community and her world. She was a member of the
Catholic Women’s League and she was an avid volunteer for
the Berwick Food Bank for many years. She is survived by Ted (Joanne
and their children, Teddy, Christa and Sarah); Theresa (Wayne Eagles
and their children, Dana and Landis); Gerald (Pat and their children,
Zach, Alex and Miranda); Wendy (Tom Chennell and their children
Chasity, Jason and Andrea); Tim (Kate and their children, Sadie, Noah
and Frances); Mike (Shelly and their children, Andy and Aleesha); Jack
(and his daughter, Beth); 12 great-grandchildren and nine siblings.
There will be no visitation, by request. A funeral service, followed
by reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2018
in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Father John MacPherson
officiating. Burial will take place in the Holy Cross Cemetery,
Kentville. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be
made to Feed Nova Scotia or a charity of your choice. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
