Melvin Kleefeld 2018

Obituary Overview
Forever In Our Hearts
Mel was born on March 4, 1954 near Humboldt, SK and passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, October 4, 2018 in Regina.
He was predeceased by his dad, Alfred.
He is survived by his mom, Leona; and sons, Brad (Jenny) and their children Isaac and Jesse, and Mark (Rochelle) and their daughter Aiyana.
Mel coached hockey for many years, mostly in the Uplands area. He loved sports, but more than that, he cherished the opportunity to make a positive impact in young people’s lives.
In his later years, he could usually be found weight lifting, playing with his grandchildren, or simply enjoying a cup of coffee and watching the traffic pass.
Mel loved life, he made the days count, and he pressed forward with hope, optimism, and humor, even when the odds were stacked against him.
A PRIVATE FAMILY SERVICE will be held to celebrate Mel’s life.
Mel was the gifted recipient of a lung transplant and his family is extremely grateful to all organ donors and their families.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages people to fill out their organ donor cards in Mel’s memory, or make a donation to The Saskatchewan Transplant Program, St. Paul’s Hospital, 1702 20th Street West, Saskatoon, SK S7M.
Arrangements entrusted to Regina Funeral Home and Cemetery (306) 789-8850.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Melvin Kleefeld 2018..
