Sherland Blanchard 2018

BLANCHARD, Sherland (née Mathe)
The family announces with great sorrow Sherland’s passing on the evening of Friday, October 5th at 70 years old. Wife of the late Ronald “Ron” Blanchard. Daughter of the late Clarence and the late Josephine (née Toner) Mathe. Loving mother of Jason Blanchard (Gigi) of Toronto and Darren Blanchard of Prince Edward Island. Beloved sister of Debbie Saik (John) of Sudbury, Karen Landry (Ricky) of Garson and Wayne Mathe (Lynn) of Edmonton. Cherished Gammie of Amelia and Sydney. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in Dorchester and Sudbury. Sherland was full of love and had the uncanny ability to see the good in everyone. She was a lover of animals, travel, nature and being a Gammie. Her laughter and optimism will be missed by every single person she’s met. She leaves this earth to join the love of her life, Ron in the sky. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd., Sudbury on Friday, October 12th, 2018 from 1-3 p.m. A funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 3 p.m. A celebration of life will follow at the Plaza Hotel, 1436 Bellevue Avenue, Sudbury. Donations can be made in her honour (by cheque or online) to the Maison McCulloch Hospice or Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
