Death Notice
WAKE, Margie (Cook) – Peacefully on October 5, 2018 at Marian Villa, in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Walter (1989). Loving mother to David (Winifred). Survived by her brother John F. Cook of Lansing, Michigan, and a number of nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by her sister Mary Lou Byng. Marge was a lifelong resident of London, and a proud graduate of the Victoria Hospital School of Nursing (Class of 1943). She served as a long-term volunteer with the Victoria Hospital Nurses Alumnae Association, McIlwraith Field Naturalists of London (Nature London) and Parkwood Hospital. Thank you to the staff of Marian Villa 1 for their loving care over the past 6 years. A memorial service will be conducted at First-St. Andrew’s United Church, 350 Queens Avenue at Waterloo, on Wednesday October 17 at 2 pm. Visitation at the church from 1-2 pm. Private interment at Mt.Pleasant Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial donations to Thames Talbot Land Trust (www.thamestalbotlandtrust.ca) or to First-St. Andrew’s United Church – Friends of Music (fsaunited.com).
