Obituary for Deidre Marie Williams (Williams)
Williams, Deidre Marie
November 27, 1970 – October 6, 2018
It is with great regret that the family of Deidre Williams announces her passing on October 6, 2018 following a lengthy battle with cancer. Deidre rose above her health challenges with a positive, courageous and determined zest for life. She is predeceased by her father, Terry Williams, infant brother Sean and sister-in-law, Yuko Williams. Deidre leaves to mourn her mother Jeanette Williams of Mono, Ontario and Bay Bulls, NL and her brother Michael Williams and his children Yui, Naoto and Takao currently residing in London, England. She is also mourned by her aunts; Bernice Nagle, Megan Hunt Walsh and Michelle Sullivan. Deidre will also be sadly missed by her seven cousins.
Deidre was a devoted daughter, sister and aunt, she was a loyal friend, an exceptional teacher and a passionate equestrian. She taught for Dufferin-Peel Catholic School Board. She has been an active member of the Orangeville Branch of the Canadian Federation of University Women and has always enjoyed her activities with the club and appreciated the many good friends she made through this organization. Since her early teens, Deidre’s passion lay in her equestrian activities. Her skill with and affection for her horses was evident to all who knew her. She was sought out and respected as an advisor regarding many equestrian issues and was particularly attached to several friends made through her riding activities.
Thanks are extended to the medical staff at Princess Margaret and St. Michael’s Hospitals in Toronto for the care Deidre received over the past 8 years and to the Orangeville Palliative Care Team who were her supports during recent weeks.
