Obituary of Isobel Goad
GOAD, Isobel Elliott “Mimi” (nee Purves) passed away at Cedarwood Village, Simcoe, surrounded by the love of her children on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 in her 87th year. Predeceased by her husband Michael (2012). Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Jane and David Smith of Port Dover, Stephen and Lynn Goad of Whitby, and Fiona Goad of Hamilton. Loving grandmother of Rachael, Simon, Olivia and Jessica, Predeceased by her son Nicholas (1963), brother Thomas Purves and sister Ruth Bowers. Mimi loved to knit, she was a proud member of Trinity Anglican Church, Simcoe and a daughter of an Anglican minister. She studied nursing at St. Georges School of Nursing in London England and worked as a Registered Nurse. Thank you to all the staff at Cedarwood Village for the care and love they gave Mimi over the last 6 years. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, 80 Colborne St. S. Simcoe on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 1 pm. The Reverend Paul Sherwood officiating. Interment in Toronto at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME, Port Dover 519-583-1530.
