Peacefully, at Briargate Retirement home on Wednesday October 3, in his 91st year.
Beloved husband of the late Angeliki “Angela” Kanellos (nee Gkotsis).
Loving father of Speros (Petula). Cherished Papou of Marie-Ange and Michael.
Predeceased by his parents Speros and Panagiota, his sister Katerina Skourtis (John), Gus (Christina), Theodore (Koula) and James (Fotoula) Dear brother in law of the late Angelo Gotsis and George Gkotsis. Survived by sisters-in-law Irene Gotsis and Fay Gkotsis; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the ROBERT J. REID & SONS FUNERAL HOME, “The Chapel on the Corner“, 309 Johnson Street (at Barrie Street), on Thursday October 4, between the hours of 6-9 p.m.
The Funeral Service will be held at the Greek Orthodox Church, 121 Johnson Street, on Friday October 5, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at the Cataraqui Cemetery.
In memory of Michael, donations to the “Koimisis Tis Theotokou“ Greek Orthodox Church or to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation would be appreciated.
