Merry, Ida Shirley, 58, of Milton, NS passed away on Friday, September 28th, 2018.
Born in Bridgewater, she was a daughter of the late Stanford and Elizabeth Whynot.
Ida had the genuine glow of someone who cared and showed compassion for all walks of life. She was a registered nurse for many years, graduating from the Halifax Infirmary School of Nursing and her personality fit her career. She was an avid volunteer at the John C. Wickwire Elementary School as a tutor. Ida was a caring woman who had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed reading, cross-stitch, walking and gardening. She will be greatly missed by her many friends.
She is survived by her loving companion, Brian Jardine; nieces Amanda and Crystal.
She was predeceased by her husband, Jamie Merry and sister, Shirley.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A private family service will be held at a later date. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the Queens County S.P.C.A.. To share memories or condolences, please visit www.chandlersfuneral.com
