Peacefully passed away surrounded by his family in Sudbury on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the age of 68 years. Son of the late Jean and the late Pauline (née Pilon) Lafontaine. Beloved husband of 44 years to Nicole (née Gervais) Lafontaine. Loving father of Bernard Lafontaine (Carole), Patrick Lafontaine and Danne Lafontaine. Cherished “Pepère Gaëtan” of Justin and Christian. Dear brother of Clémence Bidal (Fernand Beauparlant), Yvon (Annette), Francine Bidal (Gary Isenor), Denis (Lynn) and Michel (Georgette). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the St-Charles Community Centre on Sunday, September 23rd, 2018 from 2-5 and 7-9:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 24th, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St-Charles Borromée followed by burial at the St-Charles Cemetery.
