Garth Leslie Gertridge – 79, of Gaspereau, Kings
County passed away on Friday, August 24, 2018 in the Valley Regional
Hospital, Kentville. Born in Gaspereau, he was a son of the late Starr
and Hilda (Schofield) Gertridge. He had been employed as a
bricklayer and worked for several contractors throughout the area. He
is survived by his wife, Geneva (Schofield); a daughter, Alison
Gertridge, Alberta; a son, Dennis (Donna), Ontario; three
grandchildren, Reid and Drew, Ontario; Jeremy, Gaspereau; a sister,
Fern Eye, Greenwich and a brother, David, Gaspereau Mountain; nieces
and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter,
Darla; a two sisters, Faye Stirling and Bonnie Wheaton; four brothers,
Blaine, Murray, Ross and Wilfred. Cremation has taken place. There
will be no visitation, by request. A private family committal service
will take place in the Gaspereau Cemetery. Donations in memory may be
made to the Lung Association or the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville. On-line condolences and inquiries may
