MCKITTRICK, Michelle (Nee: Patenaude)
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Hospital at the age of 70. She was born January 11, 1948 in Cornwall, Ontario to Jean-Paul and Therese Patenaude.
Michelle married Lee McKittrick, November 11, 1971
She was predeceased by her parents, brother Jacques, and husband Lee. She leaves behind her son, James, daughter-in-law, Sandy, her beloved grandson Alexei, brother Pierre (Suzanne), Norma, Jacquie (Luc), Joanne and Diane (Darren). She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews, and many, many dear and close friends.
Michelle graduated high school at St. Lawrence High School in 1965 then continued her studies at Queens University and Ottawa U. Her teaching career brought her to Prescott, Cardinal, Brockville and finally Oshawa where she was a longtime resident.
She loved to cook, especially treating her family and friends to her delicious seasonal jams and pies every year. She was an avid reader and bridge player, enjoyed skiing, curling and golf, a seasoned scrabble player and a crossword puzzle fanatic.
Michelle loved to travel and was able to explore many different countries with family and friends. Visitation to be held on August 31, 2018 from 11:00am to 12:00pm, with a celebration of life in the funeral home chapel at 12:00.
