With cherished memories of a life well lived, we announce the passing of A. F. Swabb at the age of 87 years. Frank passed peacefully after a short battle with cancer. He will be remembered as an educator, volunteer, community leader, sports enthusiast, and great Dad.
He will be deeply missed by his family – Byron (Darlene Lucyk), Darlene (Ralph Kendrick), Melanie (Jim Shelast) and Karallee; grandsons Ty Swabb (Melissa Podruzny), Michael and Ryan Shelast; sister Alice Gelech and his extended family. Frank was predeceased by his parents Nick and Sara, his loving wife Adeline of 55 years, grandson Derek Swabb and 6 siblings. Many friends, teachers and students will reminisce over the good times they shared in Mundare and at the school with Frank as Principal. We welcome all family and friends to join us in our celebration of Frank’s exemplary life on Friday, August 17th at 10:00 AM at St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church – 7007-109 St. in Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Derek Swabb Memorial Fund at 6921-159A Ave, Edmonton, T5Z 3B2 would be appreciated in support of children in need.
