Kathryn (Kit) Evelyn Young passed away suddenly on July 7, 2018 in Cranbrook, BC. Kit was born in Calgary, Alberta.
She served in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves from 1960 to 1967 and participated in the Canadian Forces Tattoo Red Train from 1966 to 1967. Kit was an avid gardener and enjoyed knitting, puzzles and played clarinet in the Rusty Relics Seniors Band. She also worked as a home support Care Aide.
Kit is survived by her children; George (Devi) Young, Aaron Young and Melissa Young (Jeff Burns), grandchildren; Sylis, Xavier, Liam, Angus, Kerie, Logan, Jayden, Paige and Cooper, great-grandchild Dawson, brother Blair (Marine) Archibald and nephews Ryan and Kurt Archibald. She was predeceased by her parents Hugh and Goldie (Lins) Archibald.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Trail Alliance Church with Reverend Ken Siemens officiating.
