Labossière, Guy
Surrounded by family, peacefully on Friday July 20th, at age 88 years old. Devoted husband of Olive, loving father of Nicole, Monique, Craig (Maryse) and Paul (Lyne), proud grandfather of Alix, Amélie, Zachary, Sophie and Nikolas. Third of eleven children, survived by his sisters Huguette (Gérald), Pierrette (Willis), Suzanne and Yolande.
He had a long career as a civil servant, culminating as Assistant Chief Statistician where he was an architect in the transformation of Statistics Canada into the preeminent statistical agency in the world. He served on the boards of the Civil Service Co-op, RA Centre and paroisse Montfort. Best remembered as a gentleman, a mentor, graceful skater, traveler, walking encyclopedia, his contagious good humour, beloved grandpapa, adoring husband and most generous, kind and best papa. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Paroisse Sainte- Marie, 4831 Innes Rd, Orléans from 9am until 10am, a Memorial Mass will follow.
