Lorriane May Walker (nee Walters)
Lorraine Walker passed away peacefully in the Red Deer Regional Hospital after a long battle with cancer on July 10, 2018. Lorraine joined her husband, Ivan Walker, who passed away July 1, 2018. She is survived by son, Thomas Jeff Fisher and daughter, Leeann Lorraine Fisher both of Red Deer, stepson Devon (Tanie) Walker (Coaldale, AB), stepdaughter, Kathy Walker (Vancouver, BC); grandchildren Claydon, Austin and Tanner Whitelaw, Eric, Krizma, Jessica, Mark, Rayn, Broden, Ivan Jr; sisters Joan (Gerald) Gibson, Dorothy (Lloyd) Feil, Shirley Paradowski, Carol (Oris) Rogers, Marlene (John) Buckland, and Gayle (Dan) Thomson and Lorraine’s dog, Faylin; predeceased by sister Irene Paton and parents Ruth and Thomas Walters.
Lorraine grew up on a farm east of Pine Lake. Attended Fairbanks and Delburne schools. She was always fiercely independent, determined, hardworking, loving, honest, loved camping and nature. She was an artist, painting acrylics and was talented at crafting.
A Celebration of life will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 1:00p.m. at the Red Deer Funeral & Crematorium, 6150 – 67 St. Red Deer. Donations may be made to the Cancer Foundation in memory, 200-325 Manning Road NE,Calgary, AB, T2E 2P5
