Elsie May Engen July 1st 2018

Elsie was born in Leedale and took her schooling in Benjamin. She lived most of her life in Eckville. Elsie will be lovingly remembered by son Dennis (Lana) Engen of Eckville, daughter Faye Ames of Red Deer, daughter-in-law Shelley Engen, sister Joan Kraft of Sicamous, BC, brother-in-law Art Roland of Olds, grandchildren Darrell (Dianne) Ames, Darrin (Judy) Ames, Darcie Philips, Candy (Quentin) Dyrland; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. Elsie was predeceased by her husband Floyd Engen; son Ed Engen; son-in-law Terry Ames; brother Jim; sisters, Ada, Irene, Ivy, Mary, Jesse, Joan and Doris. Mom spent the last 3 years in Eckville Manor and loved every minute of it. She loved everyone there and thought she had the best care. Elsie’s family would like to thank the staff at the Eckville Manor for their care and kindness. There will be an inurnment in Gilby on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 11:00am. A Come and Go Tea will be held at the Friendship Centre in Eckville, Alberta from 1:30 – 4:30.
