Obituary Overview
Lovingly Remembered
A. Edward Allan, beloved husband of 67 years to Myrtle, passed away at the Strathmore Hospital on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the age of 89 years.
He was the loving father of Andrew (Karen) of Edmonton, Maureen of Beaumont, and Karen (Claude) of Calgary, and will also be dearly missed by his nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Ed was a loving husband and father. He was dedicated to his family, respected, and loved by many friends. Originally from Creelman, SK., he and his family moved to Calgary in 1958, and resided in the Chestermere area for the last 45 years. Ed obtained a welding certificate from SAIT and started his own welding business, but hobby farming was always his passion. He was a gifted fiddle player and played many old-time jigs and waltzes accompanied by his wife Myrtle on the piano. Ed enjoyed curling and going for long walks on his acreage. He will be missed by all who knew him.
