It is with great sadness we announce that Douglas Elliott passed away in the early hours of May 30, 2018 in Mission, BC at the age of 82 years. Doug was born July 5, 1935 in Toronto, Ontario and moved to Vancouver in 1966. He married the love of his life in 1968, raising a family & moving to new homes and new opportunities within B.C. Tel across the province, retiring in 1992.
Doug participated in nearly every facet of the Masonic family: A Master Mason for 44 years in Victory and Abbotsford Lodges, a Gizeh Shriner, a Worthy Patron in 4 Eastern Star chapters, a Life Member of Job’s Daughters volunteering with Bethels across the province, and taking advisory roles with Abbotsford DeMolay and Lynden Chapter for Rainbow Girls.
He was a loving husband to Beverley for 49 years and a wonderful father to Corena (Steve) and Shane (Michelle) and Grampa to Paige, James, Jonathan, and Kristen, all of whom miss him dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at the Abbotsford Masonic Hall on August 26.
Should friends desire, donations in Dad’s name to Gizeh Shriners of BC & Yukon for their charity work for Shriners’ Hospitals for Children are greatly appreciated.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Elliott Douglas Beatty July 5 1935
